As the legal owner of a solar panel, you receive monthly distributions from the sale of the electricity it generates. The calculation works as follows: the farm sells electricity to the local utility at the prevailing energy rate. Operating costs — including maintenance, insurance, land lease, and local taxes — are deducted from the gross revenue. The remaining net proceeds are split, with 70% distributed to panel owners based on each panel's actual production. Yes. A peer-to-peer secondary marketplace is available within the platform where you can list your panel for sale and other SolarWise holders can purchase it directly. You set the price, the buyer selects your listing, and the transfer is completed in a single transaction. Access the marketplace via the Marketplace tab in the app. Both buyer and seller must have completed identity verification before trading.
Yes. Every farm is physically secured with perimeter fencing, on-site maintenance teams, and 24/7 video surveillance. All farms carry comprehensive insurance policies covering the equipment and infrastructure.

This is a legal requirement under Swiss anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. The process is straightforward and typically takes just a few minutes. Your data is handled securely by our verified identity provider and is never shared without your consent.
